My favorite fair of the ones I went to. Less loud, more classy.
Felt short of expectations. Pieces somewhat immature and lacking care in thought and preparation.
Reserved, as in art of the expected style as of late: bright, colorful, gimmicky. Would have liked something fresher.
Like going through a good museum. Frank Stella is everywhere, unfortunately mostly the late stuff. Spotted a gem of Cadmus and a Tooker.
Less exciting than past years' Armory Shows. The aesthetic of the tech industry. Bright highlight: Cecily Brown (Booth 732).
